Why not I guess is the better question. Well, so... I jumped right into the adventure that is a semester in a foreign country... a bit aimlessly I must shamelessly admit. "Why Denmark" This has become one of those questions, "what are you gonna do with that degree?", "what are you doing after you graduate?", etc. People have to ask you, customary almost, and I have a perfectly pre-recorded answer for this question just like the others... for efficiency sake, it is nothing personal ;) "You know there are some courses that fit into my studies. I can knock off a couple of my final requirements. Courses are taught in english. I wanted to come to Europe... never been. Scandanavia has some interesting research and policy matters that pertain to my studies. Blah, blah." I feel a bit like a used carsalesman when I need to ramble off these answers. There is a lack of sincerity... I am sincere about the things I am saying, do not get me wrong, but having to list them off... over and over again. It gets a bit drudgerous. Anyways, I am here. I have been in Copenhagen, Demark, the capital city of Denmark, home to appx. 1.5 million people, the little mermaid and a a lot of bikes. The bikes are a massive means of transportation, and the Danes take it very seriously... it is a responsibility, not a right :) Well I join the Danes in their affordable, extremely green mode of transportation... at least until it gets unbearably cold. I have gone through 3 different bikes since being here... all with their own life stories;) but the most recent beast, I must say is my favorite with its rasta/chrisitiana custom paint job and all... thus far, this one has been good to me:

My Danish friend Michelle, a lifelong Copenhagener, puts it so bluntly perfect, "if something happens to your bike in Copenhagen your life can momentarily deteriorate to utter worthlessness," or it was something like that... You get the point:) Hurray for bikes!
